They were married on Oct. 21, 1962, in Winfield, Kan.
Mr. Willis is retired from Thunders Corp. Mrs. Willis retired from Elkhart Community Schools in 2000.
Their children are Jyi Michael Willis of Shipshewana and Alicen A. Willis of Montreal.
They have seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
