ELKHART — The following local employees have been honored by American Senior Communities with Quest for Excellence awards.
• Lauria Weber works as an activities assistant at East Lake Village in Elkhart.
• Brittany Borders is a qualified medical assistant, staff scheduler and central supply clerk at Riverside Village in Elkhart.
They were among 62 employees statewide who were selected for their job dedication, positive attitude and passion for customer service.
CBRE Bradley
SOUTH BEND — Kara Schroer has been hired as a senior associate at CBRE Bradley. She will be responsible for marketing, selling and leasing commercial real estate in the Elkhart and Southwest Michigan markets. Schroer earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Saint Mary’s College. She has more than eight years of experience in commercial real estate, leasing and market analysis.

SOUTH BEND — Mark Purcell has been hired as a client executive in the property and casualty practice at Gibson. He will consult with clients to develop and implement strategies to grow and protect their businesses. Purcell specializes in identifying business, strategic and hazard risk exposures.
