Police arrest suspect in 1919 Frances Ave. burlgary

ELKHART — Elkhart City Police arrested Anthony Sharp, the fourth suspect in the attempted burglary at 1919 Frances Ave. that resulted in the death of one person.

Sharp, 18, was arrested around 2 a.m. after police received information that he was located at 1212 Burr Oak Lane Apt. B of Carriage House Apartments.

Sharp had a warrant for his involvement in the attempted burglary at 1919 Frances Ave. on Oct. 3. According to Elkhart County Prosecutor Curtis Hill, Sharp was a lookout in a group of five people who broke into the residence.

Sharp and three other teenagers previously arrested, Blake Layman, Jose Quiroz and Levi Sparks, have been charged with felony murder for the death of Danzele Johnson, one of the suspects who was shot by the homeowner.
