BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. — Deon LaMond Williams, 38, who resided in Brooklyn Park, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012.

Deon was born to Hazel Patt Johnson and Leon Williams Sr., on April 22, 1974, in Elkhart, Ind.

He graduated from Concord High School in 1992.

He enlisted in the Marines in 1993 and was honorably discharged after many years of service to his country.

Survivors left to cherish his memory include his wife, Marianna Williams of Brooklyn Park; mother Hazel “Patt” Johnson of Elkhart; father Leon Williams Sr. of Dothan, Ala.; daughter Diamond Iyana Williams of Brooklyn Park; son Darius Williams of Dothan; sister Leana Johnson of South Bend, Ind.; brother Dominique Pledger of Dothan; paternal grandparents Leon and Lula Mae Williams Sr. of Elkhart; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be at noon Friday, Oct. 12, 2012, at Pentecostal Cathedral Church of God in Christ with a social gathering from 11 a.m. to noon.
