SOUTH BEND — Sgt. Jimmn Naquel Rollins, 28, formerly of South Bend, passed away at 11:50 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, at University of Louisville Hospital.

Jimmn was born March 17, 1984, in South Bend to Elizabeth (Rollins) Armstrong and Joseph Beard. He graduated from Elkhart High School, where he excelled in wrestling. In 2008, he joined the military, in which he served his country until his death.

Survivors include his mother, Elizabeth Armstrong of Kileen, Texas; his father, Joseph Beard of South Bend; two sons, Israel and Micah Rollins; three sisters, Nikia Chappell, JoAnn Beard and Janina Beard, along with other sisters; two brothers, Randall Pendergrass and Joe Beard Jr.; along with a host of many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012, at New Horizons Outreach Ministries. Burial will take place at Marion National Cemetery on Friday, Oct. 12, 2012.

Arrangements have been entrusted with Alford’s Mortuary.
