DeVoe
DeVoe graduated in 1972 from the Krannert School of Management at the university and has been a life member of the PAA. He is one of the founding members of the Purdue Alumni Club of Elkhart County, serving as its second president and on its board of directors.
In the past eight years, the club gave out 209 scholarships to Elkhart County students attending Purdue totaling $136,500 because of DeVoe’s efforts to create a foundation that manages the club’s scholarship funds.
With his wife, Jane, also a 1972 Purdue graduate, DeVoe promotes many activities for Purdue for the Elkhart County 4-H Fair.
The Boilermaker Pride Award is awarded yearly to a current Purdue Alumni Association member who has given time and service to the alumni club program and the PAA for 10 years or more. Current or previous service as a club officer is also a requirement.
