A freeze watch remains in effect for Elkhart County from late Sunday through Monday morning, according to the National Weather Service.

Temperatures are expected to fall into the upper 20s to lower 30s Sunday nights, with a widespread frost developing Monday morning around dawn.

Unprotected outdoor plants and crops could be damaged or killed from the frost.

A freeze means that sub-freezing temperatures are possible, according to the National Weather Service.
