NOTRE DAME — Ashley Brown and Brock Sheahan were married on July 14, 2012, at Holy Spirit Chapel of Saint Mary’s College by Father Thomas Gaughan.

The couple met at freshmen orientation for Saint Mary’s College and Notre Dame students in 2004. He proposed in front of the Joyce Center at Notre Dame, where they first met.

The matron of honor was the bride’s sister, Amber Marks. Amanda Kerkemeyer, Annie David, Sarah Griffin, Katie Good and Connie Walsh, all friends of the bride, and the sister of the groom, Taylor Sheahan, were bridesmaids.

The brother of the groom, Brodie Sheahan, was best man. Brendan Blair, Noah Babin, Dab VeNard, Michael Bartlett, Erik Condra and Luke Lucyk were all groomsmen.

The ring bearers were Brady and Jayden Marks, nephews of the bride.

The bride’s garter was hand-crafted from her grandmother’s wedding gown.

The reception was held at the Gillespie Conference and Special Events Center ballroom in South Bend.

The couple now reside in Ontario, Calif.
