Jimtown remains undefeated after win over Bremen
Jimtown (8-0, 5-0 Northern State Conference) beat Bremen (5-3, 4-2 NSC) 21-6 and is now one win away from its first undefeated regular season since 2007.
Tanner Adams scored off a pair of rushing touchdowns in the first half, and Brody Olson found Carter Gill for a 41-yard touchdown pass for the last score of the first half.
The Jimmies didn’t score for the rest of the game but prevented any sort of Bremen surge in the process. The Lions’ Reid Zellmer found the end zone off a 1-yard run early in the fourth quarter for Bremen’s only score of the night.
Jimtown coach Mike Campbell said the win was “hard fought,” saying Jimtown came out aggressive, then stalled.
Adams and Devon Emerson combined for 180 of Jimtown’s 216 rushing yards, Emerson finished with 98 to Adams’s 82.
