Warsaw scores 17 straight on NorthWood to win in OT
Warsaw won 17-10 in overtime.
The Panthers (4-4, 4-2 NLC) struck early with 10 first quarter points — first from a 24-yard field goal by Brendan Widner and then off a 20-yard run from Will Kirkwood — but would not score the rest of the night.
The Tigers (6-2, 5-1 NLC) were scoreless in the first half before finding the end zone off a 23-yard pass from Jake Mangas to Conner McCammack in the third quarter. Warsaw kicker Caleb Klusman nailed a 20-yard field goal with 4.4 seconds left in regulation to send the game into overtime.
Warsaw won the coin toss and scored on a Mangas-to-Seth Fouts four-yard pass. NorthWood had one final opportunity to score but overtshot the end zone on fourth and goal.
