SOUTH BEND — A scoreless first quarter didn’t sit right with Penn, so the Kingsmen responded by putting up 30 in the second quarter alone.

Penn (7-1, 5-0 Northern Indiana Conference) would go on to score two more times in the second half to cruise past Riley (1-7, 0-5 NIC) 43-0.

A 5-yard touchdown run from Kahlil Fleming kicked off the second quarter scoring frenzy. Tyler Carpenter added one rushing touchdown, while Matt Hummel ran in two.

The Penn defense, which only allowed 40 yards total offense from Riley, knocked down Wildcat quarterback Thaddeus Phillips in the end zone, earning the Kingsmen a safety.

Fleming scored again in the third quarter off a 14-yard run, and Nate Jarvis added to the list in the fourth quarter off an 8-yard run. Penn finished with 384 rushing yards.
