GOSHEN — Esther K. Nelson-Hartman, 92, died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at IU Health Goshen Hospital.

She was born on Jan. 28, 1920, in LaGrange, to the late Enos and Lovina (Mehl) Mishler.

On Aug. 19, 1939, she married Dory M. Nelson. He died Aug. 26, 1971.

On Aug. 30, 1986, she married Freman Hartman. He died Feb. 28, 2009.

Surviving are her children, Nancy (Allen) Jackson of Elkhart and David (Carole) Nelson of Eustis, Fla.; grandsons Rick Nelson, Todd Jackson and Trent Jackson; two great-granddaughters; and stepchildren Donna Oswalt of Elkhart, Elaine Thorpe, Charles Hartman, Floyd Hartman, Loren Hartman of Mishawaka and Bert Hartman.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Nina Baer, Marie Schrock, Ruth Ropp, Rachel Tyson, Ruby Pettet, Beulah Yoder, and Truman, Clem and Dorsey Mishler.

Visitation is from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 S. Main St., Middlebury. A memorial service is at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 8, at Shore Mennonite Church, Shipshewana.

Burial is in Shore Cemetery, Shipshewana.

Memorials may be given to Faith Mission in Elkhart or Shore Mennonite Church.
