Man found shot four times outside Goshen home

GOSHEN — A 44-year-old man was shot four times Friday, Oct. 5, outside his home at 1310 W. Clinton St., according to a press release from the Goshen Police Department.

Police are searching for the suspect, who was described as a young man wearing a dark, hooded sweatshirt and jeans and was seen by witnesses fleeing the area.

The victim was flown to a hospital for treatment. Neither his condition nor the hospital where he was taken is known.

Police received an emergency call at 6:12 p.m. about possible male gunshot victim lying on the ground behind his home near Riverside and Clinton.

Police closed the street in front of the residence and officers were seen searching for evidence in the area.

Neighbors said the man lived alone and was very quiet. Overall, they said it’s a quiet neighborhood without much crime. They were not sure what the man’s name was. Wallace Kehr, who lives in the neighborhood, said the man had lived there about a year.
