GOSHEN — Forest River’s Doug Gaeddert will serve as chairman of the board for 2013 for the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association, the trade group announced Tuesday.

Gaeddert, general manager of Goshen-based Forest River, has served on the RVIA board for a decade and has held several executive roles on the board and on committees.

“The board has elected a proven leader to become our next chairman,” said RVIA President Richard Coon in the announcement.

“Doug has been an active, engaged member in the association for a decade, and in that time, his participation and business expertise have proved to be a tremendous benefit to RVIA and the industry. I am looking forward to working with him in the coming year,” Coon said.

Gaeddert was elected last week at the board’s meeting in Newport, R.I.

The board also named Bob Olson of Winnebago as first vice chairman, Derald Bontrager of Jayco as second vice chairman, John Regan of Fabric Services as treasurer and Bob Parish of GE Capital as secretary. They all started their one-year terms Monday and are joined by former chairman Gregg Fore of Dicor Corp. and Coon on the executive committee.

The board also extended its contract through 2015 with the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville for the annual RVIA National RV Trade Show after Thanksgiving.
