Supporters of President Obama have opened a new office in Elkhart County to promote his re-election bid.

It’s at 23383 U.S. 33 in the Dunlap area and it will be open through the Nov. 6 election, according to the Obama for Elkhart County Core Team. Hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and on Saturdays it will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Also, the next public planning and strategy meeting of the Obama group is 6:30 p.m. next Monday at the Dunlap office. On hand will be a guest speaker from Charlotte, N.C., site of the Democratic National Convention earlier this month.

Available at the U.S. 33 office are Obama yard signs, buttons, bumper stickers and literature along with items for other Democratic candidates.

For more information about next week’s meeting or the office call 575-3629 or 534-9673.
