GOSHEN — Rex A. Roberts, 66, of Goshen, died at 2:03 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, at Kindred Hospital, Mishawaka.
Rex was born Feb. 19, 1946, in Elkhart to the late Forrest and Lillian (Pinkerton) Roberts. On Feb. 20, 1971, Rex married the former Barbara A. Rodts at St. Bavo Catholic Church, Mishawaka.
She survives along with two daughters, Amy (Chris) Pressler and Jill Helbling, both of Elkhart. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Kelsey Lynn, Hannah Irene, Amy Lyn, Colin Jay, Faith Ann and Mya Lynn.
Also preceding him in death was a sister, Sharen K. Hawkins.
Rex was the owner/operator of R and R Tool Inc., a tool and die company in Elkhart. He was very proud of his business, which he successfully ran, along with Barbara, for more than 25 years.
He graduated from Concord High School and attended Indiana State University. He enjoyed fishing and camping but the one true love in Rex’s life was his family, especially his grandchildren.
Visitation for Rex will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012, at Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th St., Mishawaka. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012, at St. Bavo Catholic Church, 511 W. 7th St., Mishawaka. The Rev. Barry England will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions for Rex may be made to the Northern Indiana Food Bank, Riley Children’s Hospital or St. Bavo Catholic Church.
