GOSHEN — A vesper service will be held Sept. 16 at First English Lutheran Methodist Church, 406 S. Fifth St.

The St. Joseph Valley Chapter of the American Guild of Organists are the hosts the service, which will be their first event of the 2012-13 year.

The service will begin at 7 p.m. and will include special music for flute, trumpet and organ. The guild’s chaplain, Sister Nora Frost, will preside at the service.

Refreshments will follow in the church’s social hall.
