Purdue faces difficult mens basketball non-conference schedule
The full schedule was released Thursday.
Highlights include a New York trip during which Purdue will play Villanova and either Alabama or Oregon State, a Nov. 28 game at Clemson, a Dec. 1 home game against Xavier and the Dec. 15 matchup against Notre Dame in Indianapolis. Lamar, coached by Bob Knight’s son, Pat, visits Purdue on Dec. 4.
The Boilermakers also face West Virginia on Jan. 19.
Purdue opens Big Ten play Jan. 2 at home against Illinois, and its toughest stretch comes with four of five games on the road in February. Indiana visits West Lafayette on Jan. 30.
