The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department responded to a home invasion around 3 p.m. Thursday. A white male in his early 20s broke into the home of John Huston, of 19297 C.R. 20. Huston said that the attacker had a machete-like weapon and received a laceration on his hand from the weapon after struggling with the attacker.

Huston chased the suspect outside until he joined another man as they both got into a pickup truck headed south on C.R. 23. Huston was treated at the scene.

Both suspects are said to be white males in their early 20s wearing white t-shirts. If you have any information about the case call 533-4151.
