The soulful Americana musician played to a sold-out crowd at the 120-seat record store on East Washington Street. His set list featured a mix of older songs and a few new ones that will appear on “Modern American Protest Music.” The new album is scheduled to be released in September. Fellow Music City singer-songwriter Marc Scibilia drove in from Nashville, Tenn., to open for Hoge.
In between songs, Hoge told quirky stories about his kids and shared behind-the-scenes tales about his lyrics. He hung around after the concert at Better World Books to meet with fans, including a group that made the trip from Chicago to Goshen to see him perform.
