ELKHART — A band with ties to Elkhart has been signed to a major record label.

Dusty Winterrowd, who attended Elkhart Memorial High School, is drummer for hard rock group Allele. The group has signed on with MTV record label Hype. They have played along with groups such as Yellowcard and Staind.
