A boil order has been issued for the section of Pike Street between North First and North Second streets, excluding Subway, due to water main maintenance.

The City of Goshen will be shutting down the water main around midnight, which is when the boil order starts. People in the affected area should not drink water without boiling it first. People can take showers, baths, do laundry and flush toilets without boiling the water. Dishwashers are OK to use if it has a sanitizing cycle. If not, people in the affected area should rinse their dishes with boiled or bottled water.

After the maintenance is complete, two consecutive water samples will need to be taken and analyzed for bacteria. The boil order will be lifted if they pass.
