TOPEKA — A recreational vehicle company plans to build a new, 22,000-square-foot corporate headquarters next to its factory in northern Indiana.

CrossRoads RV says the new headquarters in the LaGrange County town of Topeka will support creation of up to 10 new jobs, as well as retention of current staffing levels. The News Sun of Kendallville reports that the Topeka Town Council approved tax abatements on Monday for the project, estimated to be around $2 million.

CrossRoads RV is a division of Thor Industries that makes fifth-wheel and towable recreational vehicles. The company announced in December it would spend $3.9 million to buy land and build a new 93,000 square-foot facility that could lead to it hiring an additional 250 workers by 2014.
