If you’re interested in helping others, you can participate in the Steve Landis walk and raise money for medical bills related to his heart transplant or raise money for heart transplant patient Logan Leatherman, who is 18 months old. There will also be charity events at Chalet Party Shoppe on C.R. 17 and Harley-Davison at C.R. 7 and Bristol Street.
If you want to be a part of local government, you can attend the Elkhart County Council meeting, which is held on the second Saturday of every month. For Elkhart city residents, you can debate the garbage fees that are being proposed by Mayor Dick Moore.
You can also travel south for the Middlebury Summer Festival, check out the Midwest RV Show or enjoy Second Saturdays in Nappanee. In short, no matter your interest, you can find a fun activity this weekend.
