The City of Goshen will be shutting down the water main around midnight and installing the valve. The boil order starts at midnight. People in the affected area should not drink water without boiling it first. People can take showers, baths, do laundry and flush toilets without boiling the water. Dishwashers are okay to use if it has a sanitizing cycle. If not, people in the affected area should rinse their dishes with boiled or bottled water.

After the valve is installed, two consecutive water samples will need to be taken and analyzed for bacteria. The boil order will be lifted if they pass. Affected people will received a flier in their door with a notification that the boil order has been lifted.
