ELKHART — Safe Kids Elkhart County is offering free car seat checks at two locations on Friday.

The checks will be offered in Elkhart from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Heart City Health Center, 236 Simpson Avenue and from 3 to 6 p.m. in at Growing Kids Learning Center, 825 West Bristol Street.

The events are drive-through. Certified car seat technicians will evaluate the car seats in use and provide information to parents, caretakers and children.

Interested people unable to attend the checks may visit a fitting station during business hours at the Elkhart County Health Department, 608 Oakland Avenue.
