GRANGER — Monroe Circle Community Center (MC3) is holding a major non-perishable food drive at Granger Community Church (GCC) during the 5 and 7 p.m. service times on Saturday, Aug. 11 and the 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. service times on Sunday, Aug. 12.

The food drive’s goal is to raise 3,000 units of food, which will last for six months.

One unit of food is eight cans, two boxes, one bag and one jar of food.

Donations do not have to comprise one unit. Donations of any amount will be gratefully accepted. People wishing to donate can drop off food at one of the trucks parked outside GCC during the listed times.

Monetary donations may be made directly to the church or online at www.monroecircle.com/donate.

MC3, an outreach effort of the church, operates a food pantry serving residents in the 46601 zip code. They distribute 500 units of food to 300 families every month.
