Goshen Police seeking help in solving two armed robberies
At 11 p.m. Thursday, police were called to a Marathon Gas Station, 1149 N. Main St., for an armed robbery. A store employee told police that after the store had closed and he was standing behind the counter when the front door was shot out to allow the suspects. The employee believes one of the suspects was a white man approximately 6 feet with a lean to average build. He said the other suspect was a black man, 5 feet, 8 inches in height and lean to average build.
Both men were dressed in dark clothes, with dark masks covering their faces. They had a small handgun, demanded money and left after taking various tobacco products.
A second armed robbery happened at 11:45 p.m. Saturday at a 7-Eleven, 2220 Elkhart Road. A store employee said two black men, one 6 feet tall and lean build and the second 5 feet 9 inches tall and stocky build, entered the store, displayed a small handgun and demanded money. They also demanded the wallet from a customer present at the time. The suspects were wearing dark clothing and dark masks over their faces.
