Weather: There’s a chance the light showers could continue today, according to Phil Wogoman, the fair’s official weather person. The National Weather Service predicts highs in the upper 80s with light winds and some clouds.
On the main stage: Josh Turner takes the stage at 8 p.m., and the reserved seats were nearly sold out by Monday morning. Free grandstand seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
On the park stage: The senior talent contest starts at 11 a.m., the Kent Family Circus takes the stage at 4 p.m. and the youth talent contest starts at 6 p.m.
Food: Stop by the Tri-Kappa Pie Pantry and enjoy a slice of pie; they have sugar-free varieties, too.
Rides: Rides get a late start today, running from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.
4-H feature: The saddle, rabbit and dog clubs all have action today, but at 5:30 p.m. on the Park Stage will be 4-H citizenship and leadership awards and culinary awards for 4-Hers.
Master Gardeners: Vegetable gardening is today’s topic, with talks in Ag Hall at 1 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Also see: The Indianapolis Colts Fan Fest will be in the infield of the track from 5 to 7 p.m.
Health focus: Elkhart General Hospital will focus on senior health today, with the focus at IU Health Goshen on general health.
