Lightning knocks out traffic signal near Elkhart airport

ELKHART — A traffic signal near the Elkhart Municipal Airport is not working following a lightning strike earlier today, July 24.
The signal at C.R. 6 and John Weaver Parkway is expected to be out of order for the next few days while the Elkhart County Highway Department waits on new parts to replace the light. The highway department cautions drivers to treat the intersection as a three-way stop until the signal is fixed.
