ELKHART — James E. “Erick” Duvall, 44, of Elkhart, passed away Friday July 20, 2012, in Goshen.

He was born April 12, 1968, in Goshen to James ”Jim” Duvall and Nancy (Butler) Miller. He married Jen Hakala on Aug. 21, 1999, in Elkhart.

Survivors include his wife, Jen Duvall of Elkhart; two sons, Gregory (Kayla) Duvall of Plumas Lake, Calif., and Cody Hakala of Elkhart; a daughter, Nichole Duvall of Elkhart; his father, James “Jim” (Donna) Duvall of Millersburg; his stepfather, Dee Miller of Three Rivers, Mich.; brothers Jason Duvall and Tony Ott; and sisters Gina Marner and Donielle (Chris) O’Haver.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

James worked as a painter his whole life, including 10 years at Premier Painting. He loved his dogs, golf, riding his motorcycle and playing Galaga, the video game.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the funeral at noon Thursday at Waterman Westbrook Clouse Funeral Home in Elkhart.
