An Elkhart woman and a man from Strugis, Mich. were arrested Monday afternoon after they were found with methamphetamine precursors.

Elkhart Police Department obtained a search warrant for Elizabeth Scarbrough, 53, 709 Bower St. B, and Joseph Bell, 53, Sturgis, Mich. after an officer stopped the two individuals.

After the traffic stop and during an investigation, police obtained a warrant to search Scarbrough’s residence and they vehicle they were driving, finding precursors to manufacture meth.

Both individuals were booked at the Elkhart County Jail with preliminary charges of manufacturing meth, maintaining a common nuisance and possession of precursors.
