ELKHART — Dorothy K. “Nanny” Randall, 92, of Elkhart, died at 5:40 a.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at Elkhart Hospice House.

Dorothy was born March 11, 1920, in Norwood, Penn., to Albert F. and Elizabeth (Zimmerman) Riddagh. On Feb. 27, 1945, in Paducah, Ky., she married Paul H. Randall.

He survives, along with three sons, Brian D. (Suzanne) Randall, Craig L. Randall and Timothy B. (Shelly) Randall, all of Elkhart; three daughters, Paula Dee and Emily C. (John) Weddle, both of North Manchester, and Martha (Ed) Randall-Erickson of South Bend; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Betty M. (Harry) Hayes of Aldan, Penn., Roberta (William) Finegan of Levittown, Penn., and Anna Mae Hanna of New Jersey.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Waite and Mary Jane Edelen; and four brothers, Albert Francis Jr., William, Frank, and Frederick C. Riddagh.

Dorothy graduated in 1938 from Glen-Nor High School in Pennsylvania. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Dorothy was proud of her service in the U.S. Army Air Corps./Signal Corps.

She retired from The Elkhart Truth, where she was a circulation supervisor. She formerly worked at WCMR as traffic manager and an administrator at the license branch.

Dorothy was a devout Chicago White Sox fan, loved her dog, Abigail, and crossword puzzles, and was an avid book reader and cookbook collector. She loved life!

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 19, 2012, at Hartzler Gutermuth Inman Funeral Home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2012, at First Presbyterian Church, Elkhart. Pastor Steve Braden will officiate.

Memorials may be given to Center for Hospice Care, Elkhart.
