WAKARUSA — Beatrice Evelyn “Aunt Bea” Norwood, 91, of Wakarusa, formerly of Elkhart, died at 2:30 p.m. Monday, July 16, 2012, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Wakarusa.

She was born April 22, 1921, to William and Hilda Marie (Kline) Kirkpatrick in Niles, Mich. She married Herschel “Jack” Norwood, who died July 24, 2011.

Surviving are daughters Jackie (Stan) Cook of Wakarusa and Janice Beckwith of Jimtown; son Wendell (Peggy) Norwood of Jimtown; 11 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were two sisters and two brothers.

Aunt Bea was a graduate of Niles High School, a member of Jamestown United Methodist Church and Women of the Moose. She was self-employed in child care and as a seamstress.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 19, 2012, and one hour prior to the 10 a.m. service Friday, July 20, 2012, at Rieth Rohrer Ehret Lienhart Funeral Home, 117 W. Waterford St., Wakarusa. Pastor Ron Bowman will officiate. Burial will be in Vistula Cemetery, Bristol.

Memorials may be directed to the Jamestown United Methodist Church.
