JASPER — Penn’s Jordan Gostztola has been selected to particiate in the 2012 Indiana High School Baseball Coaches Association North-South All-Star Series. The games — a 3 p.m. Saturday doubleheader and noon single game on Sunday — are to be played at Jasper’s Alvin C. Ruxer Field.

Gosztola, a catcher headed to Roosevelt University in Chicago, hit .459 with two home runs, eight doubles, 24 runs batted in and 22 runs scored this spring for Hall of Fame coach Greg Dikos’ South Bend Clay Sectional-winning Kingsmen. Penn went 22-11 and bowed to eventual Class 4A state champion Lake Central in the LaPorte Regional.
