Goshen Police Department officers were dispatched to the 4200 block of Elkhart Road (U.S. 33) around 3:06 p.m. Rodney Brooks, 51, had fallen asleep and driven his car off the road, where it collided with a utility pole. He was driving a red Toyota Yaris.
Brooks said he had abdomen pain and minor scrapes on his arm. He was taken to IU Health Goshen for treatment.
