Car flips over along U.S. 33

GOSHEN — A South Bend man has been treated and released from the hospital after he flipped his car over.

Goshen Police Department officers were dispatched to the 4200 block of Elkhart Road (U.S. 33) around 3:06 p.m. Rodney Brooks, 51, had fallen asleep and driven his car off the road, where it collided with a utility pole. He was driving a red Toyota Yaris.

Brooks said he had abdomen pain and minor scrapes on his arm. He was taken to IU Health Goshen for treatment.
