Feb. 18, 1933 - June 30, 2012

NAPPANEE — Erma Mae Gross, 79, of Nappanee, passed away at 5:25 p.m. Saturday, June 30, 2012, at LuAnn Nursing Home, where she resided for the last 13 years.

She is survived by her three daughters, Susie (Larry) Neff of Goshen, Beverly Yoder of New Paris and Diane (Brad) Smith of Goshen and one sister, Lucille (Tom) Kurtz of Elkhart. Also surviving are five grandchildren, six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Erma was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert Sr. and Goldie (Fissgus) Straw; brothers Hubert Jr., Daniel, Glenn, Carl, Wayne and Joseph; her twin sisters Mary Gay and Lois Irene Collins; and son Donald Ray Burkholder.

She was retired from Johnson Controls in Goshen, where she worked for many years. Erma enjoyed singing, dancing, painting and putting together puzzles. Before her failing health and being confined to the nursing home she was a member of Moose Lodge in Goshen.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 21, 2012, at First Baptist Church, 1011 Indiana Ave, Goshen.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).

Elkhart Cremation Services is entrusted with arrangements.
