About 300 residents lost power Wednesday evening.

The electricity went out at 7:47 p.m. for an unknown reason around the Homeland Road area, north and south of East Bristol Street and west of C.R. 17, according to Indiana Michigan Power.

Crews were dispatched to investigate the situation and make repairs. Power was restored by 9 p.m.
