ELKHART — The city’s annual Fourth of July fireworks display that was postponed last week because of dry conditions has been rescheduled for Labor Day.

Despite the lack of fireworks, the city will still celebrate Independence Day Wednesday with a free concert featuring the United States Army Field Band with a show at the Arthur Singleton band shell at McNaughton Park. The concert begins at 7 p.m.

The Sept. 3 Labor Day concert will feature Catman and the Allniters, according to a press release. But a location has not been announced yet.
