ELKHART — A Friday night melee sent one victim to the hospital.

Police responded to a call of a fight with shots fired at 10:16 p.m. Friday in the 1200 block of Lafayette Street, according to spokeswoman Lt. Laura Koch. One unidentified victim was taken to Elkhart General Hospital with unspecified injuries.

No suspect has been taken into custody, Koch said. The investigation is ongoing.
