ELKHART — An early morning fire destroyed an Elkhart home Sunday.

Baugo Township firefighters responded to a call around 3:30 a.m. in the 56700 block of Boss Boulevard.

According to a report from WNDU, three generations of a family lived together in the home. The members of the family and neighbors fought the fire with garden hoses until firefighters arrived.

Officials do not yet know what caused the fire, but an investigation is ongoing.
