CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. — Robert S. Beswick, 34, died Tuesday, June 12, 2012.

He was born Oct. 26, 1977.

He is survived by one son, Zakary Robert Beswick of San Diego, Calif.; mother Janice T. Beswick of Cottonwood, Ala.; two brothers, Thomas L. Watkins of Orlando, Fla., and Wm. Matthew Beswick of Fort Gordon, Ga.; one sister, Melissa W. Powell of Panama City, Fla.; and grandparents Cecil and Audrey Thomas of Cottonwood. He is also survived by one niece, one nephew and one great-niece.

Robert spent eight years in the U.S. Marine Corps and two in the U.S. Army. He completed three tours in Iraq in the Marines and one tour of Iraq in the Army.

Robert lived in Elkhart, Ind., from August 1994 to October 1997. He was a member of Elkhart First Baptist Church and graduated from Elkhart Central High School in 1997.
