Goshen man pleads guilty to involvement in man’s death

Terry, 25, of 622 River Ave., Goshen, was arrested in March, along with three others, following the death of John Staub on March 22.
Terry pleaded guilty in Elkhart Circuit Court to the charge of conspiracy to commit murder. As part of a plea agreement, prosecutors will drop a charge of criminal gang involvement.
A conspiracy to commit murder charge brings a maximum sentence of 50 years in prison. Terry’s plea agreement outlines that Terry and the State agree to a 25-year sentence and that Terry may request a modified sentence after serving 20 years.
Terry’s sentencing is set for July 19 in Elkhart Circuit Court.
Elisa Horton, 22, of 415 Noble Court, Goshen, and Dustin Saylor, 22, of 410 Noble Court, Goshen, pleaded guilty Monday to felony charges of assisting a criminal related to the March 22 incident.
Daniel Heflin, 21, of 415 Noble Court, has also been charged with murder, attempted murder and conspiracy to commit murder. His trial is set for Aug. 20 in Elkhart Circuit Court.
