Speed limits in the southwest part of Elkhart County have been reduced while roads are resurfaced.

The Elkhart County Highway Department has lowered speed limits in construction zones to 35 mph for the next month while roads are chipped and sealed. The reduced speed limit signs will remain posted for several days after the work is finished.

The following stretches of road are scheduled for construction beginning Monday:

• C.R. 36 between C.R. 11 and C.R. 13

• C.R. 7 between C.R. 26 and C.R. 36

• C.R. 28 between C.R. 7 and C.R. 9

• C.R. 9 between C.R. 26 and C.R. 28

• C.R. 30 between C.R. 9 and C.R. 13

• C.R. 13 between C.R. 28 and C.R. 30

• C.R. 15 between C.R. 28 and C.R. 32

• C.R. 19 between S.R. 119 and C.R. 44

• C.R. 40 between S.R. 15 and C.R. 21

• C.R. 21 between C.R. 40 and C.R. 142
