ELKHART — Alison McKay Washburn, 10, of Elkhart, passed away at her home at 4 a.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2012, following a long illness.

She was born May 31, 2002, in Mishawaka.

She is survived by her mother, Melinda Claeys, and her father, Shawn Washburn. Also surviving are her brother, Michael Girten, and grandmothers Sherry Claeys and Peggy Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Larry Claeys.

Visitation for Allison will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today, June 21, 2012, at Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 North Main St., Mishawaka, and one hour prior to the funeral service at 11 a.m. Friday, June 22, 2012, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Riley Hospital for Children.
