ELKHART — A party west of Elkhart Wednesday night ended with court dates for a few teenage drinkers and a pending criminal case against an adult.

Officers with the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department responded to a loud party at a home in the 28000 block of C.R. 16 around 11:50 p.m. Wednesday. Three people, between the ages of 18 and 20, were arrested for underage drinking, according to a report from the sheriff’s department. Four others were cited and released.

While police were at the residence, a 39-year-old man arrived with a cooler of additional alcoholic beverages, police said. Charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor are pending review by the Elkhart County prosecutor’s office.
