Basketball

Central camp: New Central High School head boys basketball coach Troy Noble, his coaching staff, current and former players will conduct a camp for Grades 3-8 July 9-13 at Central. Grades 3-6 will meet daily from 8 to 9:30 a.m. for $30 and 10 a.m. to noon daily for $40. All campers will receive a T-shirt. Registration forms are available at http://blueblazers.org/athletic.htm. Hall of Fame camp: The Goshen High School boys basketball team will be among 16 teams from around Indiana to participate in a varsity camp put on by the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame and DistinXion this week. Games will begin at 8 a.m. Friday and will run up until the championship game at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the New Castle Fieldhouse. The camp will be operated by the Zeller family, who saw brothers Luke, Cody and Tyler each win the Indiana Mr. Basketball award. Teams participating in the event include 2012 state runner-up Pike, Norwell and Fort Wayne Blackhawk. Admission to the camp will be $6 and admission to the Hall of Fame will be $4 for adults, $2 for children.

ESC summer league: The Elkhart Sports Center will host June leagues for high school boys and girls teams on the varsity, JV and freshman levels. Cost is $350 per team, discounted to $280 for additional teams from the same school. Each team will get eight games, typically two per night. Boys games will be Mondays and Wednesdays, girls on Tuesdays and Thursdays. To register visit http://elkhartsportscenter.ezleagues.ezfacility.com/sign_up.aspx.

ESC/ESC Elite summer camp: Elkhart Sports Center, in partnership with ESC Elite, will offer another basketball day camp for boys and girls entering grades 3-8. Camp 2 is 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily July 9-13. Will Coatie will direct. Cost is $195. To register go to www.elkhartsportscenter.com and click on Camps/Clinics, then click on the preferred camp.

Wrestling

Fairfield camp: Grades 2-8 for the 2011-12 school year are welcome July 9-13 in the Fairfield High School wrestling room — 1 to 2:30 p.m. daily for grades 2-5 and 3 to 4:30 p.m. daily for grades 6-8. Cost is $25, which includes camp T-shirt and awards. Entry deadline is June 29. For more information, contact the Fairfield athletic office at 574-831-2184.

Softball

Plymouth slow pitch tourney: A men’s slow ptich around-the-clock softball tourney is planned for June 29-30 in Plymouth. Deadline to enter is June 26. For more information call Ed at 780-6865.

MULTi-SPORT

Kerry’s Kids Kids & Teens Try-Athlon: The eighth annual swim-bike-run event sponsored by the Goshen Parks & Recreation Department is scheduled for Saturday, July 14 at Shanklin Park. Ages 5-12 will swim 25 meters, bike 1.2 miles and run a half mile. Ages 13-18 will swim 75 meters, bike 1.2 miles and run 3.1 miles. Cost is $20 before June 22 and $25 June 23-July 6. Goshen Summer Sports Performance: The sport-specific program is open to all 2012-13 Goshen High School students who participated in a GHS sport in 2011-12 and have a physical dated after April 1 on file in the athletic office. Sessions are scheduled Monday through Thursday through July 26 (visit the GHS athletics homepage at ghs.goshenschool.org for specific times). Flag Football

Uprising Stars tournament: A five-man flag football tournament for ages 9-11 and 12-14 is scheduled for 9 a.m. on July 7 at Uprising Stars Field, 1111 Bristol St., Elkhart. SOCCER

EYSA: Edwardsburg Youth Soccer Association is now registering players for the fall season at www.eysasoccer.org. Team are U10 through U15. Registration ends July 9. Road Runs

Rieth Training Runs: The annual Rieth 5K Training Runs are set for 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Aug. 28. Sign-ins start at 5:45 p.m. at the tent in the area by the Rieth Interpretive Center. Access is off Plymouth Avenue south of Shanklin Park in Goshen. A donation of $1 per run or $10 for the season is requested. Football

Concord camp: The Concord football camp for grades 4-8 is planned for July 9-12. Grades 4-6 meet from 10 a.m. to noon and grade 7-8 from 1 to 3 p.m. Cost is $35. Registration forms are available at all Concord schools or can be accessed at the Concord High School website. All campers need to report between 4:30 and 6 p.m. to the new junior high locker room on the north side of the building to pick up equipment, or report one hour early on the opening day of camp. Concord Football League: CFL practice starts in July. Registration and equipment pick-up will begin July 5 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. (for Concord High School campers only) and 5 to 7 p.m. July 12-19 for everyone else. Registration costs $65 per child. Ultimate

Goshen Summer League: Sign-ups are under way for the fourth season of the Goshen Ultimate Summer League. Ultimate uses a flying disc (the generic of a Frisbee) in a game similar to soccer and football. There are seven players on the field per side. The coed league is open to teens and up. Games are 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays at Ox Bow County Park. Questions may be sent to goshenultimate@gmail.com.
