Oct. 28, 1927 - June 16, 2012

ELKHART — Patricia Ann Brown, 84, of Elkhart, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, June 16, 2012.

She was born Oct. 28, 1927, in Elkhart to Newton Earl and Lillian P. (Bosse) Morehouse. She married Violes James Brown on May 28, 1949, in Goshen. He died Feb. 28, 1995.

Surviving are her children, Doris (Tim) Brumbaugh and James (Donna) Brown, both of Bristol, and Brenda (Chuck) Stephic and Rita (Danny) Moore, both of Elkhart; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, George, Bill and Robert Morehouse and two sisters, Marjorie Smith and Phylis Leslie.

Patricia graduated from Elkhart High School in 1947 and worked at Adams and Westlake, Dale Trusses and retired from ESI Meats. She was a 61-year member of Bristol United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at Bristol United Methodist Church and an hour prior to the 11 a.m. service on Thursday, June 21, 2012. The Rev. Fred Stayton will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakridge Cemetery.
