UPDATE: Four hurt in golf cart accident treated and released

ELKHART — A 14-year-old boy was airlifted after the golf cart he was riding in rolled over Monday afternoon.

The boy was riding in the cart with three other people on C.R. 26 near the Elkhart County Jail when the vehicle rolled over.

During the rollover, the boy was knocked out and sustained a cut on his head.

According to Capt. James Bradberry of the Elkhart County Sheriff's Department, as of 10:30 p.m. Monday night, all four people hurt in the crash had been treated and released for minor injuries at Memorial Hospital of South Bend.
